The Opportunity International Network is a global coalition of organizations dedicated to providing opportunities for people in poverty to transform their lives. Its mission is to serve those whose lives can be transformed through the provision of financial and developmental services in a way that fosters economic, social and spiritual growth. Christian in motivation, the members of the Opportunity International Network are committed to serving the very poor, and providing services without regard to race, gender or religious affiliation.

The Opportunity Network includes Implementing Partners, who operate microfinance programs, Supporting Partners, who raise funds and invest, and the Network Services Organization, which provides technical assistance and management oversight.

The Opportunity International Network is comprised of regulated formal financial institutions and non-profit NGOs serving economically challenged families with microfinance. Its services include small loans, as little as USD90, small savings accounts with a country average balance as low as USD86, and microinsurance. Opportunity International has more than USD900 million in assets serving poor families with microfinance, education, and training in 27 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Opportunity builds, owns, and operates microfinance banks and the first wholly-owned microinsurance company, MicroEnsure. With Support Partners in Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, Opportunity International manages investment divisions and a Loan Guarantee Fund.
